Sewing Room and Homely things.

The sewing room is finished.  Woohoo.  Here are some pics of before and after.....

In this picture you can see how dingy and dull the room is - the green just sucked all the light out of the room..........

But after a coat of white paint - look at the difference!!!  I have used a vintage toiletry holder for threads and bobbins - really handy.  The cupboard was an old cupboard that was destined for the bonfire and a friend rescued it and gave it to me.  I painted it pink and lined it with Orla Kiely wrapping paper!!

Have also been working on the kitchen today.

I've been busy but there is still a way to go!

Have a lovely weekend all.

Vintage Jumble at Rangeworthy

Have had a very busy weekend.

Yesterday I went to the Vintage Jumble and picked up a nice selection of bits and bobs.  Got a fabulous barkcloth curtain which is in a very unusual colourway of purple with yellow, also picked up some nice scraps of 60's and 70's fabric and some nice little glass jars.

It was a lovely sunny day and it was lovely to see Washerwoman, Hens Teeth, Hardaker and Pope, Hesta and the Pugs, Cowboys and Custard, Nostalgia at the Stonehouse, Country Cottage Chic, Beyond France , Textile Treasure Seeker and many more.

I went along with Sue from Dairy House and Clare from  Daisy Darling.

The next one will be held on 25th August.  More details here.

Today I have mowed the grass and then almost finished my sewing room.  It's about 90% done at last!

Hope you are enjoying this lovely weather.

Toodleloo!
