It's time to be confident

I've been thinking a lot about my handmade creations over the last few weeks and something that a very dear friend of mine said struck a real chord and the more I thought about what she said the more I realised that she was right.

She said I was like a 'Creative Butterfly' and that I flit from one thing to another when I should concentrate on my own personal style and make things that are identifiable as me, as they are always the nicest.  She was absolutely correct - as she always is - never met a more preceptive and honest person and one that has my interests entirely at heart.

So, this got me to thinking.

I am going to concentrate on my own creations.  Things that are products of my own imagination. That means, my creatures mainly, but also other related things that are in my very own style.  I will feel happier doing that and they will also reflect my own style and personality which is very important to me.  They are quirky and fun and original and that's what makes me happy.

I love making my creatures.  I enjoy making every one different and giving it it's own personality.

So, watch this space and see what my mind spews forth!

You are so right Woo! Do your thing.... your creatures are wonderful and unique to yourself. Do what you enjoy doing most. I can sympathise with you.... I do the same.... make all sorts of things and not necessarily what I really love doing.

Your friend is so right. There are so many different types of craft out there to try or be influenced by that it can sometimes be difficult to stick to one thing. That's when frustration, or worse still boredom, sets in. Stick with what you enjoy and what means the most to you.
I will be watching............ :o)

As for following your own style...go for it and from what I've seen you'll have no problems at all (but you know that already) xx

Totally agree with others above - your creatures are so unique. I think we spend time being a butterfly until we find our creative niche and looks like you have a wonderful one x

iI am also flitting at the moment - and feel the need to concentrate on just a couple of things. The problem is that there is so much I want to do. If only we had the time...
