I am officially part of the World Record for the most number of pirates in one place! The attempt to break the record took place on Friday 6th August in Hastings. They had to beat the record which I think was just under 2000 pirates. We weighed in at 6166 pirates and apparently there were another 800 people estimated still to come in and be counted but we ran out of space.
It was an absolutely fantastic day and made me realise what it is I loved about Hastings. It definitely attracts a quirky person, and I love that.
Unfortunately my camera broke but here is a picture of me as a hearty pirate wench!
