Great Band and Slippers

Not much to say today except I was very naughty and bought not one but TWO pairs of fabulous slippers from Ruby and Ed, take a look at these babies......(by the way those aren't my legs in the boots, they are the cardboard shapers). I've got a thing about slippers, but I tend to wear them out quickly because I work from home so tend to have them on all day plus I've got flagstone floors so they just wear things out really quickly (that's my excuse anyway)

For my next little topic, I want to rave about a band called 'The Duke Spirit', they've been around for a few years but I've only just got to hear them on BBC Radio 6. They are absolutely fantastic. If you like a PJ Harvey kind of vibe, then check out their latest single called The Step and the Walk. Well worth a 79p download at iTunes I'd say. If you're reading this Dons, you'll love them.
On the sewing front, I made a rather cute cat from a book I bought recently. I've been working on my own version of a cat to go with my Love Bunnies, but he isn't quite right yet. This fellow is rather nice though. Here is a pic. Here is also a pic of my French Tart doll that I was attempting as well. The hair is made from hand dyed Cotswold locks, the dress is silk that my friend Emma bought me back from India. Her boobs could be improved.

Apart from that, I've been under the weather since about November and despite having anti-biotics etc, I am still feeling tired and run down, apparently according to the Dr, I've got Shingles. I'm not convinced myself, but something isn't right that's for sure. I think a month in Sweden would do me some good personally.

I had my hair cut as you know and it's nice, not as sharp as I wanted but I'm going back in a couple of weeks to have white and burgundy strips put in amongst the black, so that will be good (I hope so because I am working at an exhibition that week so if it looks a bit dodgy I'll have to probably dye over it)....

Anyway, I'm off for now.

Love Bunnies, Age and Mighty Boosh.

Whoppee, I can upload. Had some trouble in the week. Here are my bunnies. Not the best photo but you get the idea. Also Lavender sachets in the other window, so I am very pleased.

I'm planning to get down to some serious sewing this weekend. Been trying to make a kind of 'kind hearted harlot' doll, inspired by the film 'Perfume' which is actually in my top 10 books of all time, read it years ago.

I'll post pics of the first one later for comments, but I think she looks too nice and I'm having trouble getting the boobs right - tee hee hee.

The weather here has been truly awful and we're set for a pretty crap weekend too. May venture to Bexhill to check out the charity shops though.

This year is a big one for me as I finally hit the big FOUR-OHHHHH. Still I feel about 20 so that's got to be good right? I think I am wearing pretty well. This is a pic of me last year with my neice Poppy who is just over 1 year old now. Everyone always complains that I never show my face so here it is - don't say I didn't warn you!

My hair is actually black at the moment and I am going to have it cut tomorrow back to my standard Louise Brooks bob that I've been growing for about 6 months to get the layers one length. I can't wait. My hairdresser Karina is lovely - she's Lituanian and she's bonkers, so I really enjoy going to see her.

One other good thing is that I managed to get 4 MIGHTY BOOSH tickets for the Brighton Centre in November. I am very sad and belong to the backstage area on the website so got first dibs on the tickets. HOW EXCITED AM I ABOUT THAT!

Love Bunnies Galore

Here you go, pics of my Love Bunnies in the window, and also in the other window, my little linen sachets! I figure that they either love them so have given them star treatment OR they're not selling so they're peddling them big time :-)

I'm so chuffed.....

Just wanted to say that I am so chuffed today. We went for a walk to the Old Town and as we walked past Made in Hastings, there is a whole load of my Love Bunnies in the window. I am so pleased!!!! It's a good omen for the New Year. I didn't have my camera with me, but will take a piccie and post it shortly.

Have been spending a couple of days thinking about new stuff to make and have a few ideas.

I am back to work tomorrow. Wish I could work part-time, it's something I definitely need to think about.

I've got that Suicide Sunday feeling right now :-(

Anyway tatty bye.
